Fallen heroes will be remembered with church services, wreath-laying ceremonies and parades on Remembrance Day.

Residents in towns and villages across Epping Forest will gather on Sunday to pay tribute to those who lost their lives in the two World Wars and more recent conflicts.

Details of events across the district:

In Epping the annual Remembrance Day parade will set off from the Civic Offices, in the High Street, shortly after 2pm on Sunday November 9.

It will proceed to the war memorial, led by the Epping Forest Pipe Band, where a wreath-laying ceremony will take place.

The parade will then continue to St John’s Church, where a service will begin at 3pm.

Throughout the Remembrance weekend there will be a display of wartime memorabilia at the Hemnall Social Club in Hemnall Street in Epping.

For Chipping Ongar, there will be a Wreath-laying ceremony and parade, beginning at 2.30pm at the Ongar War Memorial Medical Centre, in Fyfield Road.

In Loughton people will meet at the British Legion in Church Hill at 11.30am, with a parade starting at 12pm and marching to the memorial in Kings Green, High Road. 

There will be a service of remembrance and wreath laying at 12.15pm and traditional jazz back at the British Legion from 1 pm.

In Waltham Abbey people will meet at 10 am at the Waltham Abbey War Memorial, Farm Hill Road, then march to a service of remembrance at Waltham Abbey Church for 10.45am.

In North Weald an act of remembrance at the war memorial at St Andrew's Church at 10.50am, followed by a wreath laying service at the Airfield memorial, Hurricane Way at 12.15pm.

In Chigwell there will be an all age parade service for Remembrance at All Saints Church, Romford Road, Chigwell Row at 10.45 am.

There will also be a service at St Mary's Church in Chigwell High Road at 10.55 am and St Winifred's Church at the Memorial Stone in Manor Road at 10.45 am which is followed by a parade.
