A piece of horticultural art has been created to commemorate the centenary of the First World War.
Local artist Victoria Robertson has created the Memorial Cannon, which is sculpted out of grass and soil at Copped Hall in Crown Hill, near Epping.
The sculpture was funded by Waltham Cross salad grower Stubbins, which is raising money for the Royal British Legion.
Managing director of Stubbins, Peter Turone, said: “When Victoria told us she was creating the cannon to commemorate the lost soldiers of World War I, we felt we could support both something worthwhile in our local community and the wider British public by raising funds to assist the tireless and highly valuable work of the Royal British Legion.”
