Three teenage boys have been charged in connection with a knifepoint robbery.

Police were called to Old Station Road in Loughton shortly after 7pm on October 31 following reports that two youths had been robbed.

One victim was ordered to hand over a mobile phone and cash, while the other was robbed of cash.

Seven teenagers were arrested after being stopped in High Road, Loughton, following the robbery.

Brian Aduma, 18, of Prospect Hill in Walthamstow, and a 17-year-old boy from Leyton, who has not been named, were both charged with two counts of robbery and possessing a knife in a public place. 

A 15-year-old boy, also from Leyton, was charged with two counts of robbery.

Aduma and the 17-year-old have been remanded in custody to appear at Chelmsford Crown Court on November 25, following a hearing at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on Monday.

The 15-year-old was bailed to the same date.

Four other boys, a 17-year-old from Leyton, a 17-year-old from Woodford Green, a 16-year-old from Woodford Green, and a 15-year-old from Walthamstow, who had all been arrested on suspicion of robbery, were bailed until December 17 pending further enquiries.
