Mystery surrounds the origin of a trailer that has been left by a primary school.
The red lorry trailer has been in a field in Pick Hill, neighbouring Upshire Primary School, for at least a month.
The trailer has 'police aware' stickers on it, but it hasn't been moved and nearby school staff are said to be "nonplussed" as to how it got there.
An Upshire Primary School spokeswoman said: “It just appeared one day a couple of months ago.
"We thought it was to do with the road works that happened here not so long ago.
"But no-one’s been to pick it up.
“Nobody knows what’s inside, it could really be anything and potentially dangerous.
"It needs to be moved. We don’t want our kids climbing over it that’s for sure.”
A spokeswoman from Epping Forest District Council said:
"Our environmental team are aware of the trailer and we are waiting for police to get in contact with the owner to remove it."
Essex Police have been approached for comment.
