A lit firework was thrown from a car at two women in the street.
Officers attended the scene outside Woolston Manor in Abridge Road, Chigwell, at just after 8.50pm on yesterday following reports of a passenger in a silver Corsa throwing fireworks at pedestrians.
The two women, both in their 20s, were walking towards Loughton from an event at the venue when a man leant out of the passenger window and lit a rocket firework, before launching it at the pair.
No one was injured in the incident, but Essex Police have confirmed they were called to nine similar reports in Epping Forest last night.
Anyone with information is asked to call Essex Police on 101.
