Planning permission has been granted for a large housing development as part of an ongoing regeneration project.
East Thames will create 59 new homes in four separate buildings, communal gardens and a health centre in Sutherland Road, Walthamstow.
The housing association says the development, which is part of the ongoing regeneration of the Blackhorse Lane area, will provide affordable homes, with 43 available for shared ownership and the rest to be rented.
East Thames was behind a nearby housing scheme in Papermill Place, which is now home to 343 people.
East Thames director of development, sales and asset management, Trevor Burns, said: “We are thrilled to have received planning permission for this development.
"East Thames has been working with Waltham Forest Council on plans for this site since 2012. We are excited about the improvements this new scheme will bring for the area’s existing residents, providing much needed new homes and a doctors’ surgery.”
