Roadworks on a section of the m25 which caused 21 months of overnight closures have now been completed.

The major scheme, which was implemented by the Highways Agency in February 2013 and saw junctions 25 to 27 alternate in closing between 10pm and 5.30am, was completed this week.

Road users were diverted overnight from junction 26 for Waltham Abbey for almost two years due to slip road and lane closures.

The Highways Agency has confirmed that there are no longer any estimated delays as all roadworks have been completed.

The estimated cost for the works  is £188m and includes new signage and lighting.
