Two further arrests have been made following investigations into a shooting in Chigwell.
A 36-year-old man from east London was shot in the shoulder outside Virgin Active Health Club, while a young children's party was being held opposite in Mooro's Restaurant, shortly before 3.50pm on September 7.
He was treated in hospital but returned home the same evening.
A 30-year-old from Dagenham was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and a 25-year-old from Waltham Abbey was arrested on suspicion of possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life when they attended Harlow police station yesterday afternoon.
The latest arrests follow that of a man and a woman who were arrested early yesterday morning after officers from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate executed search warrants at Loughton and Waltham Abbey.
A 29-year-old man from Loughton was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and a 24-year-old woman from Waltham Abbey was arrested on suspicion of money laundering.
All four people have been bailed until February 17 pending further enquiries.
