An annual fun run is set to be held in memory of three long-serving community representatives.
The Santa Fun Run, which will begin in The Broadway, Debden, on November 30, will be held to commemorate former chairman of Loughton Broadway Town Centre Partnership, Dave Stannard, long-serving trader Jayne Matthews and former Labour councillor Joan Davis, who all died this year.
The event, which is this year being organised by Geraldine of Geraldine Hair Fashions in Loughton, will consist of a three-mile run in fancy dress.
Proceeds, which will be donated to St Clare Hospice, will be doubled in value by Santander in High Street, Epping, at the end of the event.
Admission costs £12 for adults and £5 for children and includes a free Santa suit.
