A group of volunteers raised £1400 for a charity at the weekend.
The Friends of Jubilee Lodge Committee held a Christmas market at the Old School House in Theydon Mount on Saturday which saw over £1000 raised to support the Vitalise Jubilee Lodge in Grange Farm Lane, Chigwell, which provides respite breaks for disabled people and carers.
The festival consisted of crafts, bread, books and bric-a-brac stalls as well as coffee and raffle stands.
Committee member Ros Dover said: "It went superbly, absolutely superbly.
"We are overly grateful to everyone who can alone and helped raise money for much needed equipment."
