Newsround visited a school and filmed Year 6 pupils in an anti-bullying lesson yesterday.
The CBBC news show visited Jenny Hammond Primary School, in Worsley Road, Leytonstone.
Year 6 pupils were filmed in an anti-bullying lesson and were then interviewed by presenter Jenny Lawrence as part of the programme, which was broadcast yesterday evening in a special anti-bullying edition.
John Yates-Harold, deputy headteacher at the school, said: “Newsround were able to witness an anti-bullying lesson, where we discussed ways to tackle homophobic and other prejudice-based forms of bullying.
"Our school is well-renowned as having a strong community spirit, which is really reflected in our pupils’ positive attitudes to learning and to accepting and understanding the differences in society and our local community."
