One person was trapped yesterday following a four vehicle crash on the M11.
Firefighters were called to the scene at North Weald between junction 6 and 7 at around 6.40pm following reports of a road traffic collision.
Two fire engines from Harlow and an Urban Search and Rescue team were called to the scene.
Crews worked to free the person trapped by their injuries in a heavy goods vehicle.
Paramedics treated the patient at the scene for minor injuries before transferring them to Princess Alexandra Hospital.
There were no further casualties.
