A hospital health care assistant has admitted claiming over £30,000 in benefits for nine years.
Beverley Prempeh, of Larkshall Road in Chingford, appeared at Thames Magistrates Court on Friday where she admitted one charge of dishonestly failing to notify authorities of a change in her circumstances.
Miss Prempeh benefited from over £30,000 in housing and council tax benefit between 2003 and 2012, while working in a hospital.
Magistrates declined jurisdiction over the case as they did not feel their sentencing powers were appropriate, sending the matter to crown court.
Miss Prempeh will appear next at Snaresbrook Crown Court on December 12.
