A man has been hit by a lorry in the second serious accident in days involving a cyclist in Lea Bridge Road.
Police, paramedics and the air ambulance were called to the scene, opposite the Lea Valley ice rink in Leyton this morning.
The cyclist, believed to be a man in his 40s, has been taken to the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel.
He suffered chest injuries at around 7.30am this morning.
A lorry, a car and the cyclist were involved in the crash.
Police took to Twitter this morning to report a diesel spillage in the road.
The accident comes just days after a man was seriously injured on Whipps Cross Road, near Whipps Cross roundabout, in a collision with a car.
