The latest in a long-line of fires at a derelict pub is under investigation.
A total of 21 fire fighters and four engines were called to deal with the blaze at the former Central Station pub in Brunner Road, Walthamstow, at 8.30pm yesterday.
Officers were on site until after the fire was brought under control at 10.15pm.
There were no reports of any injuries, but part of the ground floor and a small part of the first floor were damaged.
The pub was closed after a devastating fire in 2007 and there has been a number of fires at the site since.
Property firm Edward Symmons sold the building at auction in April 2012 for more than £300,000 - double the guide price. But the company will not reveal who bought it.
Fire engines from Walthamstow, Leyton and Leytonstone fire stations attended the incident.
Squatters have lived in the pub on and off for a number of years.
