A fundraising charity raised over £14,000 for breast cancer clinical trials at an annual pamper evening last night.
Together in West Essex beat their fundraising target of £10,223 at the sixth annual charity pamper evening and Christmas fair in Wolseys, Dunmow.
The evening consisted of live make-up tutorials, masseurs, Indian head massages, reflexologists, Christmas stalls and nail technicians as well as a Winter Wonderland.
More than 150 residents helped to raise £7,000 which was then doubled by Chelmsford Insurers, QBE.
Since the charity was founded 13 years ago it has raised a total of £322,000 towards funding breast cancer clinical trials at Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow and St Margarets in Epping.
Charity Honorary Secretary Karen Thompson, 48, said: “it was really good, the event went very, very well.
“We beat our fundraising target which is fantastic.
“I am absolutely delighted with how the evening went and I cannot thank those involved enough.”
