A homeless man has been charged with theft and criminal damage.
Shaw Sealy, 37, of no fixed abode, is accused of stealing six bottles of alcohol from Waitrose in Queen’s Road, Buckhurst Hill, and causing £400 damage to a BMW car and fence belonging to Fine Doors, on the same street.
He was also charged with causing £120-worth of damage to a wooden fence belonging to Leonardo’s Restaurant, in Queen’s Road, after being arrested on Friday around at 2pm.
He was taken to hospital after receiving lengthy treatment in the beer garden of the Railway Bar and Grill in Buckhurst Hill.
Mr Sealy has been released on bail until an appearance at Chelmsford Magistrates Court on December 15.
