A disability charity is set to be donated thousands after a fundraising bid by BT.

Scope in High Road, Loughton, was one of six stores to have staff from the multinational communications company, who gave 76 bags of donations to the charity, join them for the day in a bid to raise funds through bucket donations and tombola ticket sales.

A Just Giving page set up by staff has already raised over £1,300 for the charity, which works to ensure people with disabilities are given the same opportunities as others.

Shop Manager Lily Reynolds said: "the day has been very good, the staff from BT are doing there bit to raise money outside the shop.

"We have had a noticable difference with the amount going through the till.

"It has been great and has helped us out a lot."
