An annual tree festival is set to return after a five year interval.
The Chigwell Christmas Tree Festival, which is set to feature over 50 trees, will return to the town this afternoon after closing in 2009.
The weekend event will consist of trees decorated to represent local businesses, families and organisations as well as an array of books, handicrafts and raffle stalls.
The 'Grand Switch On' of Christmas lights will be done by trader Karl Partridge of H.L. Hawes and Son Ltd at 4pm.
Residents are invited to the festival which will be open between 4pm and 7pm today, 12pm to 5pm tomorrow and 12pm to 4pm on Sunday.
