A cash point thief caught on CCTV is being sought by police in Waltham Forest.
Suspect 163644 is wanted for theft at Tesco Express in Lea Bridge Road, Leyton, on October 16.
The incident at shortly after 6.30pm, was caught on the store's CCTV.
As he approached a woman from behind, he was seen holding a piece of paper which was used as a distraction technique.
He waved it infront of the screen and subsequently stole her card.
He then walked off leaving the woman confused.
Before she could cancel her card, the thief withdrew £250 cash.
The CCTV has been passed to the Guardian as part of a joint venture with the Metropolitan Police to identify potential perpetrators of unsolved crimes in the borough.
