A helicopter was used in a bid to track the suspect last night.
Police are searching for a man accused of assaulting a woman yesterday evening.
Officers were called to the scene at a house in Hillyfields, Loughton, at just after 6.20pm following reports of concern for a woman in her 20s.
The woman told police she had been assaulted.
An area search, including the use of a helicopter, was conducted in a bid to locate the suspect who remains at large.
Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact Essex Police on 101.
