A Christmas wonderland event has raised more than £2,000 for a Chigwell charity.
Avon House prep school in Woodford Green held its Christmas celebration for pupils and family members last Friday, with a performance of festive songs from the school choir and an appearance from Father Christmas.
The celebration raised more than £2,000 for the school’s Christmas charity, the Chigwell Riding Trust, which provides horse and pony riding sessions for children and adults with special needs.
The trust sent their much-loved white pony Tansy along to the event, which was arranged by the Avon House Parent and Teacher’s Association.
Headteacher Amanda Campbell said: “It was an evening not to be missed. Our grateful thanks go to the PTA for organising this pre-Christmas extravaganza which raised over £2,000.”
