A teenager has been given a trial date following a knifepoint robbery on Sunday.
The 16-year-old boy from Walthamstow, who has not been named, was arrested on Monday following the incident at 4.10pm.
Two suspects held three teenage boys at knifepoint in The Broadway, Loughton.
Items including two bags, a hat, a mobile phone and a small amount of cash were stolen.
The teenager, who is currently being held at a youth detention centre, appeared at Basildon Youth Court yesterday charged with three counts of robbery.
He is set to appear for trial at Chelmsford Crown Court on February 16.
