There are severe delays between junctions 25 and 26 on the M25 this morning following a fatal multiple lorry collision on Tuesday.
The emergency repairs are being carried out on the central reservation that was destroyed in the crash, near Waltham Abbey, which killed a 39-year-old man and left four in hospital.
Two of the hospatilised men, aged 33 and 25, have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving in connection with the collision that occurred shortly after 1.50am.
The outside lanes are closed in both directions and have been causing severe delays this morning.
The Highways Agency have confirmed that traffic conditions are expected to return to normal by tomorrow at 12pm.
