A carer who devotes her time to looking after people with mental health problems has been officially recognised as one of the best in the business.

Renie Dada a support worker based at Amethyst Road in Leyton scooped the top prize in the Compassion Award category at the National 3rd Sector Care Awards Ceremony.

Ms Dada met Esther Rantzen CBE who was host at the ceremony in Grosvenor Square.

Cllr Angie Bean, Waltham Forest Council’s Cabinet Member for Adult Services, said: “Employees like Renie deserve to be rewarded for their hard work as they go above and beyond to help vulnerable residents lead as full and active lives as possible.”

Ms Dada, an Outlook Care employee said: “I am absolutely overjoyed to win the compassion award as I take such delight in empowering people, promoting their lifestyles and affecting their outcomes in such a positive way.”
