A 15-year-old has been arrested after a baseball bat was used to attack vehicles following a crash.
Police responded to report of a collision involving a white transit van and a number of vehicles in Hamlet Hill, Roydon, at 7am today.
Witnesses said a person was seen smashing vehicles involved in the crash and carrying out an assault.
No-one was seriously injured in the incident.
The teenager, from Harlow, was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage, assault, drink-driving and driving without a licence.
He remains in custody.
