A condolence book has been arranged for residents of Waltham Forest wishing to pay their respects to the 148 people killed by the Taliban in an attack on a school in.

Teachers and 132 children were massacred on Tuesday by militants in Peshawar.

Anyone wishing to sign the book or leave a message of respect can do so from 9am to 5pm at the Town Hall in Forest Road, Walthamstow.

The book will be open until Tuesday.

People can access the building during the weekend.

Leader of the council, Chris Robbins, said: “Tuesday’s attack can only be described as a disturbing tragedy. My heart goes out to all of the families who lost their loved ones.”
