Images show for the first time the inside of a library which has undergone a £600,000 refurbishment.
South Woodford Library, in High Road, will reopen after four months with a gym, a fitness and dance studio, and improved facilities for children.
It is hoped gym membership fees will generate revenue of £236,000 a year.
The library will open on January 2 and people can view facilities tomorrow between 10am and 4pm.
