After weeks of learning lines, sewing costumes and singing songs, little starlets across Waltham Forest have taken to the stage to perform in their school Christmas plays.
Donning tea-towels and tinsel on their heads pupils read out their lines to proud parents gathered in their school halls.
This year, pupils at Coppermill Primary School in Walthamstow performed a traditional nativity with angels, shepherds and three kings.
St Patrick's Roman Catholic Primary School in Longfield Avenue, Walthamstow, also put on a traditional nativity with angels and shepherds belting out tunes – as well as some impressive dance moves.
Buxton School in Leytonstone also told the story of Jesus in their nativity play this year.
Children attended dress rehearsals and practiced hard for the show which was enjoyed by scores of parents, friends and teachers.
The story of The Little Sherpherd was told at Barn Croft Primary School in Brunel Road, Walthamstow, this year.
Rather than the traditional nativity children acted out the story of Bethlehem's smallest resident, who had a little problem with telling the truth.
