Police have released CCTV footage of a man who attacked a driver after he was involved in an accident.

A man in his twenties had been involved in a road accident in Lea Bridge Road, Leyton, on December 29 at just before 10pm.

After getting out of his car, he was approached by two men, described by police as 'passers-by', who started to argue with him outside Joe Jennings bookmakers.

They then punched him several times and the man, pictured, entered a nearby off-licence and grabbed a glass bottle.

The victim was then chased and hit with the bottle, causing cuts to his right arm.

Suspect 166929 is wanted in connection with grievous bodily harm (GBH).

CCTV footage shows the victim being chased by one of the men as the other enters an off-licence.

The footage has been passed to the Guardian as part of a joint venture with the Metropolitan Police to identify potential perpetrators of unsolved crimes in the borough.
