A woman has been given a community order after stealing petrol worth £446.
Amy Harrigan, 22, of Hobbs Cross Road in Epping, was convicted at Chelmsford Magistrates' Court yesterday for driving off without paying on numerous occasions between August and September last year.
Fuel was found to have been stolen from garages in Brentwood, Epping, Uxbridge, Waltham Abbey and Kent.
Harrigan was issued with a community order of 80 hours unpaid work which must be completed before January 5, 2016.
She was also ordered to pay £60.80 in compensation.
