A planning group has launched a public survey following an announcement one million pounds will be spent on improving a borough's parks and green spaces.
Waltham Forest council has said it will spend the cash on renewing and modernising equipment at 12 play areas and six open spaces.
The children's play area at Highams Park field, off Keynsham Avenue, is one area set to receive £80,000 in funding this year.
The Highams Park Planning Group (HPPG) has launched a survey calling on residents and families to share their ideas ahead of a public consultation scheduled to start between February and March.
Ways in which the money could be spent include replacing all play equipment and surfacing, introducing new equipment elsewhere in the park, or even relocating the park.
The deadline for completing the survey is January 25.
A drop-in-session from 10am to 3pm is planned for February 14 at St Anne's Church in Larkshall Road, Chingford.
All of the improvements across the borough are due to be completed in time for the summer holidays.
