Clear Architects released this image of what the site will look like if give the go-ahead.
A planning application has been lodged to turn the City Blins building near the Tesco superstore in Leytonstone into flats.
The proposal for the site include nine residential units in Gainsborough Road.
If Waltham Forest council agree to the plans, the ground and first floors would be extended, with the creation of three one-bedroom and five two-bedroom flats, and one three-bedroom flat.
Clear Architects has released an image of how the site would look.
A decision on the proposal is due to be made by Waltham Forest council's planning committee next month.
