A Wanstead blogger was given the chance to interview stars of the new Annie film.

Natalie Lee, of Gordon Road, Wanstead, was approached by Sony to interview the director Will Gluck and Annie actress Quvenzhane Wallis.

The 34-year-old writes her own blog, Style Me Sunday, and has lived in the area for six years.

She is currently a full-time mother looking after daughters Autumn, 2, and Alexa, 5.

Actress Miss Wallis, who plays Annie, was nominated for a Golden Globe for best lead actress for her role in the film on Sunday.

The film, which was released in the UK on Boxing Day, is a remake of the 1982 film featuring an orphan from New York being befriended by a mayor candidate.

Mrs Lee said Sony were impressed by her blog and were looking for a mother to conduct the interview which was completed in the Corinthia Hotel in Charing Cross over Christmas.

She said: “It was the first time I’ve ever done anything like this before but that’s the beauty of blogging, the amazing and sometimes very random opportunities it throws up.

“I was super nervous, but the team at Sony looked after me very well, Will and Quvenzhane were really lovely and kind to this newbie interviewer.

“I took both my daughters to see it and they loved it, it truly deserves to be another classic in its own right – Cameron Diaz and Jamie Foxx are great in it, and Quvenzhane is an absolute star!”
