An image of a suspected cash point thief has been released by police in Waltham Forest.
The victim, known to the man pictured through a family member, used an ATM machine in Selby Road, Leytonstone, on October 27.
She withdrew £140 at around 10am and placed the cash in her jacket pocket, but unbeknown to her, the thief was standing close by and watching her.
He snatched the money out of her pocket and walked off.
The photo has been provided by the victim through a social networking site, and has been passed to the Guardian as part of a joint venture with the Metropolitan Police to identify potential perpetrators of unsolved crimes in the borough.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Waltham Forest police quoting 4922011/14 on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
