A teenager has been charged with the murder in Hackney.
Jeremie Malenge, 17, was stabbed to death in Ponsford Street at around 11.40pm on January 6, following an altercation with three or four youths in Homerton High Street.
A 17-year-old boy from Redbridge and a 14-year-old boy from Hackney, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were yesterday charged with murder following their arrest on Monday.
They will appear before magistrates today at Stratford Youth Court.
The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) has launched their own investigation after the Metropolitan Police revealed officers had quizzed Jeremie an hour before he was killed.
A post-mortem examination on January 8 gave the cause of death as a stab wound to the chest.
A 17-year-old girl from Hackney was the first to be charged with murder.
She appeared at Stratford Youth Court on Monday and has been remanded to appear at the Old Bailey today.
Police have made five arrests in total.
A 17-year-old held in West Yorkshire remains in police custody, and a youth from Enfield has been bailed pending further enquiries.
