CCTV footage has been released of a late-night reveller confronting a pub doorman before head-butting him in the run-up to Christmas.
Police are appealing for help in identifying the man following the attack at The Red Lion, in High Road, Leytonstone, on December 20.
A man tried to get into the pub after it had closed at around 1am.
When he was refused entry, he head-butted a doormen and attempted to glass him.
The doorman suffered minor injuries, mainly swelling to the head.
CCTV footage shows the attacker confronting two security staff as he tries to barge his way through the front door.
Another man then interferes and pulls the suspect back.
It has been passed to the Guardian as part of a joint venture with the Met to identify potential perpetrators of unsolved crimes in the borough.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Waltham Forest police quoting 4924621/14 on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
