Three Olympians are set to visit leisure centres in a bid to inspire youngsters through sport.
Water polo player Fran Leighton, speed swimmer Adam Whitehead and synchronised swimmer Katie Skelton will visit Everyone Active Ongar Leisure Centre and Waltham Abbey Swimming Pool to train with the seven to 14 year olds on February 1.
More than 100 youngsters will be coached by the Great Britain aquatic stars at the Zoggs Oceans of Fun event in a variety of skills including water polo, fast swimming and synchronised swimming.
Everyone Active Contract Manager Kim Bames said: “We’re really looking forward to hosting the Oceans of Fun events and giving local youngsters the opportunity to learn from Olympians.
“Educating children in different forms of exercise is very important to us.
“Water-based activities are great fun and provide a fantastic workout.
“We’re hoping the events will encourage more local youngsters to take up aquatic sports.”
