A man was knocked unconscious after crashing his car into trees.
An air ambulance, paramedics, two fast response cars, police and fire attended the incident at 3.45pm on Manor Road in Loughton on Sunday following reports of a man in his 20s in a single vehicle crash.
The road was closed while emergency services delt with the incident which reportedly happened after the mans grey BMW left the road and crashed into trees.
The man, who was discovered unconcious by witnesses, was helped from the car before being transferred by land to Whipps Cross Hospital in Leytonstone.
His injuries are believed to have been serious but not life threatening.
