Driver suffered cardiac arrest after being hit by car in Walthamstow, last week
A driver has been bailed by police after a man was killed in Walthamstow on Thursday.
The pedestrian was struck by the vehicle in Forest Road.
Emergency services were called to the scene, near the junction with Hoe Street, at 10.20pm.
The man suffered a cardiac arrest and was taken to Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel, where he died.
The man is yet to be formally identified.
After the incident the driver of a black Mercedes C-class, stopped at the scene.
He was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has now been bailed until late March.
