Every secondary school in Wanstead and Woodford is above average for GCSE results, figures revealed today.
The Department of Education released the 2014 KS4 league tables published today show each school comfortably above the national average of 56.6 per cent of pupils achieving five A* to C grades in subjects including Mathematics and English.
The highest performer in the area was the all-girls Woodford County High School, in High Road, Woodford Green.
The grammar school achieved the 58th best GCSE results in the country, with 99 per cent of pupils getting five A* to C grades.
This is an increase of one per cent on results from 2013.
Trinity Catholic High School, in Mornington Road, Woodford Green, was the second best performing in Wanstead and Woodford.
A total of 81 per cent of pupils achieved five A* to C grades in their GCSEs last year, also an increase of one per cent.
Woodbridge High School, in St Barnabas Road, Woodford Green, has seen a decrease in the percentage of pupils getting the grades, with 67 per cent in 2012 falling to 64 per cent last year.
Wanstead High School, in Redbridge Lane West, also saw a dip, with 62 per cent of pupils achieving five A* to C grades, compared to 69 per cent in 2013.
