A new cafe has promised to bring the best of the east and the west together with a sprinkle of all things E17 as they vow to promote other businesses and use fresh, locally sourced products.

Mother, daughter duo Nina and Farah Mirza opened the doors to Indulgence Cafe in Hoe Street in December in their first catering venture together.

Farah Mirza who has made a living in the property world said she saw an opportunity to being something new to Walthamstow, an area which she is passionate about.

She said: “My mum and I wanted create a welcoming space for people to come and feel at home and relax, that is so important to us.

“I am so passionate about Walthamstow and having the opportunity to bring a new business to the area is really exciting.

“I am British with an Asian heritage so we decided to bring the best of the east and the west together in the menu.

“I have a real passion for healthy eating and good food so we offer a mix of healthy options with fresh fillings and also the naughty treats.”

Ms Mirza uses locally sourced products from sourdough bread to jams and she has now made an exclusive deal with Hovig Yardim, the owner of Massis tea.

“I think local businesses should support each other. I have met a lot of people through my involvement with the business forum, and that is how I got in touch with the owner of Massis tea.

“I know how popular the pop up shop in Hoe Street was. The teas are just amazing, I was raised on tea.

“Being passionate about tea we had long been searching for something distinct. This led us to MASSIS tea with their bespoke loose leaf teas and Tey latte.

“After sampling their exquisite Tey latte with gingerbread hug and loose leaf tea we knew we had something special.”

The official launch was held on Saturday.
