A popular heritage attraction has announced a series of events celebrating 150 years of rail travel in the district.
Celebrations in April and August are being planned by the Epping Ongar Railway, which has also announced a full schedule of extra activities to help commemorate the 150 year anniversary of the Loughton to Ongar railway line.
Two guest locomotives will be appearing at the railway in April, and a Victorian-themed celebration is being planned for August.
A real ale festival, murder mystery evenings and a classic car rally are some of the events that will also be taking place during the year, with appearances planned for the railway’s unique hybrid “Supercar”, which featured at the New Year’s Day parade in London recently.
