A man has been charged with driving offences months after a boy and pensioner were injured in a collision.

Adeel Chaudary, 24, of Ansar Gardens in Markhouse Road, Walthamstow, is accused of dangerous driving and driving with no insurance following a car chase with police through Chingford.

The white Mercedes was spotted driving dangerously in King's Head Hill at around 8pm on July 17.

Police followed the car where it then collided with a Rover containing three passengers in Winchester Road, Highams Park.

An 11-year-old boy and 65-year-old woman suffered back injuries and extensive damage was caused to the Rover.

The Mercedes continued along Winchester Road into Evanston Avenue before it eventually came to a stop in Swanage Road.

Police gave chase to the driver who was found in the front garden of a house in Swanage Road.

A 21-year-old was arrested on September 11 on suspicion of motor vehicle theft but has since been released with no further action.

Chaudary has been bailed to appear at Thames Magistrates Court on February 23.
