A 20-year-old has been arrested over a multiple stabbing on front of a crowd of shoppers.
A man, also 20, was left fighting for his life after the attack outside Tesco in Forest Road, Walhamstow, at around 4pm on February 2.
He remains in a serious but stable condition.
Two men with stab wounds attended hospital later the same day and a 19-year-old girl was treated for head injuries.
The violent incident took place in front of a crowd of people which included children making their way home from school.
Officers were called to the scene at 4.20pm to reports of an individual armed with a knife.
The following day detectives arrested a 20-year-old man who remains in custody pending further enquiries, it has been revealed.
Detectives from the Trident Gang Crime Command are investigating.
