Fire chiefs say the release of the film Fifty Shades of Grey could lead to a sharp rise in people being stuck in objects such as handcuffs or rings.
The film, based on a novel by EL James, is due to be released tomorrow features sex scenes involving bondage.
Last year London Fire Brigade attended 472 incidents involving people being trapped or stuck in these circumstances.
There has been an increased year on year since the Fifty Shades of Grey books were released, the brigade has said.
In November firefighters dealt with a man who was later forced to undergo surgery to remove two metal rings that had been stuck on his penis for three days.
Two firefighters removed the rings using hydraulic cutting equipment.
