A popular biking club is set to re-launch after receiving funding.

The High Beach Youth Cycling Club, which was initially launched in 2013 in a bid to engage more young people with the forest, will restart next month after a years break.

The club, which received funding from Sport England, are set to re-launch with a pool of new bikes and a new starting venue at the Woodredon Equestrian Centre in High Beach.

Epping Forest Sports Development Officer Fabrizio Luca Ferrari said: "The club has been extremely successful.

"Thanks to this success we recently received funding to buy a pool of our own bikes, so that we are able to grow the club further.

"The club is due to re-launch in March and we have some pro-riders coming down to meet and train with our participants."

Weekly Saturday 10am to 12pm and Tuesday 5pm to 6.30pm rides are set to start March 14 where cyclists will be assisted by professional racers from the Diamond Back 44 racing Rockstar energy team riders.
