A teenage cyclist who was repeatedly stabbed from behind has been discharged from hospital.
The 17-year-old was found lying in Brookscroft Road, Walthamstow, with multiple stab wounds to his arms, legs and back before being taken to hospital.
Police were called to the incident near the junction with Kitchener Road at 11.49pm last Thursday.
The teenager was discharged from hospital on Sunday.
Detectives investigating the assault believe the cyclist was stabbed numerous times from behind by the attacker who fled in a silver or grey coloured car towards Chingford Road.
No arrests have been made and police continue to appeal for witnesses.
