He is speaking out about why people should vote for the Riding for Roding proposal, one of seven hoping for funding from the Greater London Authority in the Big Green Poll.
The project will create a new riverside cycle path through Wanstead Park to Redbridge Roundabout.
Mr Wood believes this will help wildlife thrive in the River Roding and be beneficial for residents of Redbridge and Waltham Forest.
