Mass clean ups are being arranged across Waltham Forest in a bid to ‘spring clean’ the borough.
Residents’ associations and groups will be litter picking, painting, pruning and planting new bulbs next month, supported by the council.
The local authority has pledged help for all groups who arrange an event.
All equipment and raw materials will be made available for volunteers between March 21 and 23 and March 27 to 29.
Environmental Services thanked everyone who got involved in last year’s Waltham Forest Spring Clean.
Over 2,000 residents collected 11 tonnes of waste and 5,000 bulbs were planted.
